The Chairman of the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Hon.(Dcn) Joseph Otirhue with his management team has received the new Exco of the College of HPMs and TLGs in his office at Commission’s Secretariat in Asaba.
While receiving them, he commended the outgone Exco led by Mr Friday Amudo for doing a good job. Also,Otirhue congratulated him for the completion of his service in the Unified Local Government Service.
Speaking during the visit, the Commission Boss congratulated the new Exco and appreciated them for accepting to serve in this capacity. He said the calibre of persons elected to pilot the Association, are reputable persons with wealth of experience adding that, the Association is lucky to have these crop of officers whom are not intoxicated by power.
While rejoicing with them,he encouraged them to listen to the voice of reasoning as nobody is perfect, adding that we learn everyday.
He urged them to work harmoniously with the Commission and not to be confrontational. He prayed for the strength and wherewithal for the new leadership to lead the Association to enviable heights.
Earlier, the outgone President, Mr Friday Amudo told the Commission Chairman that, they were in his office to present to the Commission, the newly emerged leadership of College of HPMs and TLGs.
The new president, Mr Austin Emaduku, while thanking the Commission Chairman for the warm reception, says though the new Exco is stepping into very big shoes, they will do their best not to deviate from the tenets of the Association , adding that they will be mindful of the motto of the Association which is loyalty,service and justice while in office. Promising that, when the need arises, they will not fail to liase with the past leadership for the betterment of the Association.
